Grupo Aeroportaurio Del Sureste (ASR-NYSE, $256.74) Reports a 30.3 Million Passenger Throughput at Cancun International Airport for 2022.

Total passenger traffic at all Mexican airports operated by ASUR was 39.5 million, up from 34.2 million in 2019. 2019 represented the previous peak year prior to Covid-19 travel restrictions and is considered the representative baseline year (normalized) for travel comparisons by the industry. Additionally, passenger volumes through the Puerto Rico airport exceeded 10.3 million in 2022, up from 9.45 million in 2019. Passenger traffic through the Columbia airports operated by ASUR totaled 16.5 million, up from 12.1 million in 2019.

Total passenger counts through all airports operated by ASUR grew to 66.34 million passengers in 2022, up from 53.84 million in 2019, a consolidated growth rate of 23.2%.

International passenger traffic, the most profitable passenger in the mix on a gross and net margin basis, grew to by 20.7% in 2022. The net count was 24.5 million passengers in 2022 as compared to 20.29 million passengers in 2019.

For the quarter ended December 31st, 2022, total throughput of passengers through the entire ASUR system totaled 17.61 million, up from 17.04 million in Q3. This would suggest that Q4 quarterly revenues, EBITDA and conceivably EPS, may also set records.
